CZJ's kids think Michael is a chef

It's kind of a compliment on his cooking skills, but we reckon that if we'd had as prolific a career as Michael Douglas has, we'd probably be a tad disappointed if our own kids thought we were a chef.

But apparently that's the case with Michael and his gorgeous wife Catherine Zeta Jones' seven-year-old son Dylan.

CZJ explained recently that she and her hubby have tried hard to protect their two children from the world of fame.

But it sounds to us like they might have been trying a little too hard with the result that little Dylan is very confused about what his parents do.

Because dad Michael is so handy in the kitchen making waffles and pancakes, Dylan has apparently come to think that's his job.

Welsh-born Cath revealed: "We were trying to explain to Dylan that we make movies and he went to Michael, 'Hang on. Mama makes movies, you make pancakes'.

"So my two-time Oscar-winning husband with a career of 40 years looks at me and says, 'Oh, it's come to that'."

Sarah Harding offers Amy advice

What do Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding and Amy Winehouse have in common besides the fact that they are both super-successful pop stars?

The answer is that they both live in Camden, north-west London, but Sarah is planning a change of scenery.

Although the 26-year-old blonde says she loves too-cool-for-school Camden to bits, she says she's over it now and thinks that Amy could do with following her example and escaping to somewhere quieter herself.

Sarah told the Daily Star: "I can't wait to get out of Camden. I'm looking for a new place in Buckinghamshire now. It's lovely around there. I think the Camden thing had its time and you have to move on.

"It could do Amy good to get out of there and get a fresh start and perspective. I love Amy. She's a good girl. I'll look out for her, but I'm sure she'll be fine."

Brangelina named best dressed couple

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been named to world's best dressed couple of 2008 in style bible Vanity Fair's annual list.
Ange was praised for staying stylish throughout her pregnancy, while Bradders was hailed for looking sharp at a number of red carpet events this year.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton, US presidential hopeful Barack Obama's wife Michelle and Carla Bruni all made the top ten in the women's list.

Meanwhile there might be some tension in the Beckham household following the publication of the list as David made the top ten best dressed men's list, while wannabe fashionista Victoria didn't even get a look in.

Last year Posh and Becks were named one of the world's best dressed couples, so it looks like it's all gone wrong for Vic this year.

Other blokes who made the final cut included James Bond star Daniel Craig and rap mogul Kanye West.

K-Fed says he "can't complain"

Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline has said that he "can't complain" about life.

The wannabe rap star (30) was awarded sole custody of sons Jayden and Preston with Britney in January this year.

And while poor Britters has been working hard to get back in shape and re-jig her career, it seems that K-Fed has been enjoying life.

When asked how he's going, he told People: "Been having a good summer, I can't complain. I've worked here and there a little bit. Definitely staying at home with the family."

K-Fed also has reason to celebrate because he managed to get the amount of child support he receives bumped up from $15,000 (£7,500) to $20,000 (£10,000) a month.

Kevin, who also has two children from a previous relationship, released his last rap CD Playing with Fire in 2006.

When asked about future plans, he said: "I'm not revealing any work strategy right now."

Avril 'only has brunette dancers'

So we've always known that celebs tend to enjoy being the centre of attention…

But Avril Lavigne has now revealed a few tricks of the trade to ensure you're the one who's definitely in the limelight.

The 23-year-old singer says that, so as not to be overshadowed by their fit and gorgeous backing dancers, most blonde performers make sure they only employ brunettes.

This little rule of thumb applies to Avril's own dancers, of course.

She explained to OK! mag: "Everyone was brown, except one of my favourite girls was blonde so we were like, 'You have to have brown hair.' It wouldn't look right.

"I wanted my girls to look really punk rock with like black hair and that's pretty standard for everyone, like Madonna and Mariah Carey. If they're blonde you're not going to see another blonde on stage."

Well, we wouldn't want anyone to run the risk of upstaging you now would we Avril?

Peaches makes excuses for lifestyle

Peaches Geldof has come with a new way to get out of trouble - by saying that you only fly off the handle because you're such a creative soul.

The 19-year-old daughter of Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates, who died from a drug overdose, sparked concern earlier this month when she collapsed after a reported drug overdose.

But Peaches has said that she's all misunderstood and that her wild party lifestyle is just the way she expresses herself.

She said: "People have preconceived ideas of me - they can be so negative. Creative people can be allowed to make mistakes."

In response to allegations that she refused to go to hospital after recovering consciousness because she was scared of what her dad would say, Peaches insisted that her dad Bob has no control over her.

She explained: "He doesn't come along in the middle of the night and lock me in. He doesn't need to be strict, I'm a woman now you know, I'm not 13."

Madonna's bro 'scarred' by grave shoot

The relentless character assassination of Madonna by her ever-so-slightly bitter bro continues with Christopher Ciccone declaring he was horrified by one of her shoots.

Ciccone, who has recently written a tell-all book about his famous sister, explained that the 49-year-old pop star invited him along to shoot a scene at their mother's grave for her 1991 documentary In Bed with Madonna.

Maddona's brother, who claims that the singer has difficulty seeing anyone else's point of view, says that he was left emotionally scarred by the disrespectful shoot.

"There aren't many things in my life that I consider sacred, but my sister crossed that line," Christopher told Closer mag.

"And then the film crew wanted me to lie next to the grave with her. She didn't even realise it was an issue or a problem - but it left a very deep mark on me."

Duffy 'doesn't mind' free downloads

We didn't need another reason to love Duffy but the down-to-earth singer has given us one anyway.

The Welsh star said that she doesn't mind if her young fans download her music for free as long as they buy it when they're older and have a bit more dosh.

Duffy said that she understood the reason most people chose to download music instead of buy is because they can't afford to.

She said that it would be worse if people who couldn't afford expensive CDs were left out of the music scene altogether.

"There are pros and cons to everything. Some people think it creates illegal access, but I think the big wheel is round, y'know?" she said.

"I think the majority (of people who download) are kids and as they get old and get more income they'll probably buy records. So it's just making music a part of everyone's lives."

Jamie Lynn planning home wedding

Britney's lil sis Jamie Lynn Spears is apparently all ready to marry her fiance and the father of her new baby Casey Aldridge, who she met at church.

The pretty teen recently gave birth to her first child and is keen to get the wedding plans moving.

But unlike many celebs, Jamie isn't planning on holding a star-studded bash in a glam venue.

Instead, the Zoey 101 star wants to have a simple wedding at home, according to her friends.

A source told OK! mag: "She loves everything about the area where she lives. She's not going to get married in some luxury resort in the Caribbean or a hotel in Beverley Hills.

"Her own backyard with just the people who matter most is more Jamie Lynn's style."

The source added that Jamie has started slimming for the big day and has already got her pre-preggers figure back.

Earlier this year it was reported that Jamie and Casey were fighting about his reluctance to sign a pre-nup.

Cam yearns for big bum

Most girls can but dream of looking as gorgeous as the lovely Cameron Diaz, but the Hollywood star has revealed that she wishes she could be a bit curvier.

The super-svelte star has admitted in the past that she never diets and enjoys regular cheeseburgers, but insists that she stays slim due to her activity-packed lifestyle.

And we have to admit, if we did as much exercise as outdoorsy Cam we reckon we'd probably look like her too.

She told Look mag: "I have an active lifestyle. I love to surf, I love to snowboard, I love to play golf, I love to hike. I also love to read a book, because that is mental athletics!"

Pete 'not over' Kate yet

Poor old Pete Doherty has been pouring his heart out about his pain following his split from Kate Moss.

The grimy pair were tabloid favourites throughout their stormy relationship, but they eventually parted ways 12 months ago.

While Kate didn't hang around long before moving on to her next rock star boyfriend, Jamie Hince, the relationship appears to have deeply affected sensitive Pete.

Although the 29-year-old Babyshambles front-man has been linked to a bevy of beauties including Sting's daughter Coco Sumner and even Amy Winehouse since splitting from the supermodel, he says he's been too heart-broken to move on.

"I haven't shacked up with anyone since. I haven't shared my life with anyone," lovelorn Pete told Loaded magazine.

"We haven't spoken since we broke up. When you split up with someone, someone that you're seriously in love with, it takes a lot of time before you even realise that you're upset. It just hits you."

The sexy soul singer and White Stripes front-man are set to make movie history by creating the first duet to feature in a Bond film.

Apparently talented Jack wrote and produced the secret song to be used in the 22nd movie, Quantum of Solace, which is due to hit cinemas in November.

Earlier this year, superproducer Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse holed themselves up in a studio to record a theme, but unsurprisingly given Amy's current state, nothing came of that.

Jack and Alicia are following in the very big footsteps of musical legends including Shirley Bassey, Duran Duran, Tina Turner and Nancy Sinatra, who have all recorded Bond theme tunes in the past.

We can't wait to hear it guys!

Sam and Linds' great escape

Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend Samantha Ronson had a hair-raising experience recently when they got stuck in a hotel room.

The pair of starlets were forced to make a daring escape via a second-storey balcony after they became the victims of a malfunctioning door.

Sam and Linds were enjoying a Sunday afternoon in New York when they became stuck, but luckily a group of hotel staff were able to assist their exit and the girls laughed off the incident in good humour.

A source told the New York Daily News, "Thankfully, the busboys and wait staff were there to climb up and help the girls down.

"Lindsay and Sam were laughing hysterically. They thought it was the funniest thing ever."

Jessica's body confidence

We reckon if we were Jessica Simpson we'd probably be pretty confident anyway, but the sexy singer has put her new-found self-assurance down to her boyfriend.

Jess, who has been dating American football star Tony Romo for about nine months, was apparently feeling a tad insecure after putting on a bit of weight recently.

After all, she is known as the girl with the perfect bod from her hot-pant-wearing character Daisy Duke in her hit film Dukes of Hazzard.

But good old Tony has set her mind at rest when it comes to her curvy frame, assuring her that he adores it.

"Tony tells Jessica not to let life pass her by. Tony is also the first to boost Jess about her body!" Jess's friend revealed.

"Jessica admits she has packed on a few pounds but she doesn't care. She is loving life and isn't trying to be Daisy Duke."

We're not surprised that Tony has no complaints over Jess's bod - she recently topped a poll to find the best boobs in Hollywood.

Amy 'uncomfortable' with fame

Amy Winehouse's manager has said that the down-to-earth singer feels "deeply uncomfortable" with fame.

Raye Cosbert hinted that the star's ongoing personal problems may be a result of the privileged lifestyle she has led since her music career took off.

When Amy's debut album Frank was released in 2003, it was critically successful but she did not receive nearly as much media attention as she does now.

While she was able to keep a grip on her roots at the start of her career, the phenomenal success of Back to Black has propelled her into a world which she doesn't feel she belongs in, according to Cosbert.

He told the Sunday Times magazine: "Amy is a public person. She's not like your usual reclusive star. She likes ordinary people.

"She likes playing pool with the bin men in her local pub. She feels deeply uncomfortable in the world of VIP celebrity. It's unfortunate that you can't teach somebody how to deal with fame."

Calum Best's desperate quest to prove he's not a total sleaze continues with the model's latest comments that he is "well-mannered" and is "respectful" to women.

The notorious ladies man and son of football legend George Best says that he has been portrayed unfairly by the press and claims that his womanising ways are the same as any red-blooded male.

Although Calum admitted that he can be "a bit of a perv", he insists that he has the utmost respect for women.

"I'm not the guy people think I am," Calum told Now magazine.

Keira Knightley is flying the flag high for all flat-chested girls by banning her movie studio bosses from re-touching her modest bust in the promotional shots for her new film.

Hallelujah! Paris Hilton has finally grown up.

It's taken her 27 years to get here, but the attention-seeking socialite has finally said that she feels like a grown-up now.

And what is this transformation down to? Why, her Good Charlotte rocker boyf Benji Madden of course.

Paris told People mag: "I just feel like a grown-up now. I think my whole life I was kind of living as a teenager and not really taking responsibility.

"I realise I'm an adult and I'm running a huge company and I'm in love. I have my family. I'm just excited for life."

The blonde also said that she enjoyed baby-sitting six-month-old Harlow for best friend Nicole Ritchie, adding: "I love babies!"

Davina rules out liposuction

We've always loved Davina McCall's straight-talking ways and now the Big Brother host has given hope to all of us who either can't afford or are just too horrified to go under the knife by saying that she never considered liposuction.

The presenter admits that she struggled to get back down to her ideal weight of 9st 9lb after giving birth to her third son Chester.

But not for a second did Davina consider the easy option, because she reckons she would have just put the weight straight back on again.

Davina told Digital Spy: "I can't pass judgment on anybody who does, but I wouldn't do it, because it's really bloody painful and I just think there's a healthier, easier way.

"If I lost weight without any effort I'd carry on eating unhealthily and not exercising, and I'd be back for some more liposuction in another couple of years. That's not going to keep my insides or my head healthy."

Leona rules out posing for lads' mags

Sorry fellas, but Leona Lewis has said that she would never follow the example of many of her pop peers and pose for men's magazines because she doesn't feel confident enough about her body.

The bootylicious Bleeding Love singer said: "I wouldn't do that. I'm not against it, I just don't have the confidence to stand there and be in a bra and knickers."

But don't go thinking that Leona lacks confidence in terms of her career.

The pop star says that people often assume she is the shy and retiring type because she is so well-behaved and soft-spoken, but she insists she can stand up for herself when she needs to.

Sienna 'keeping low profile'

Uh oh…it looks like Sienna Miller's controversial love-life has finally caught up with her.

But as the rest of the world came to know that the 33-year-old heart-throb is married with four children, public opinion came to turn against Sienna.

Now the star, who has previously dated Jude Law and Rhys Ifans, has apparently fled to New York to spend some time with her dad in a bid to escape the press backlash in the UK.

A source told the Daily Mail: "Her PR team in the UK had no idea about the affair because she kept it a secret from them.

"When they tried to do damage limitation, it was too late. They are very worried about the effect this will have on her career."

Jordan 'too chavvy' for polo

Katie Price may have been working hard to shed her tacky glamour girl image, but the 30-year-old has apparently been left devastated after being refused entry to the Cartier International Polo contest in Windsor this weekend.

Jordan is worth an estimated £50 million as the result of her reality TV show with husband Peter Andre and her lucrative book deals.

Nevertheless, according to the Daily Mail Katie initially tried to gain access to the VIP marquee but was told the event, which will be attended by Prince Charles, was by invitation only and there were no available places.

A source told the paper: "Jordan has been told she is not welcome. The polo is very prestigious and there are certain names they want there and others they definitely don't.

"She might have reinvented herself but Jordan is still too chavvy as far as Cartier is concerned."

Estelle 'unimpressed' by groupies

British singer Estelle has revealed that she never dates groupies because they usually have such rubbish chat-up lines.

The American Boy hit-maker has enjoyed a surge in popularity since the release of her second album Shine, which she recorded in America with the help of John Legend and Kanye West.

But the gorgeous 26-year-old recently revealed that not all of the attention she has received has been welcome and that groupies trying to chat her up irritate her.

Estelle said: "They'll come out and say, 'Yeah babe I really respect you'. Then they're also like, 'The beautiful Estelle', and I'm like, 'Euh, what do you want?' And they'll go, 'I have seen you a lot...' And I'm like, 'Because I'm a rapper and a singer and I'm on TV?'"

She added: "It's funny. I'm like, 'Yeah cool, nice to meet you. You don't need my number. You really don't. I don't have a UK phone. I don't live here anyway'."
