When a multi-millionaire and pop superstar gets divorced, it's bound to be ugly, so it comes as no surprise that Madonna has lined up Sir Paul McCartney's lawyer Fiona Shackleton, according to reports.
Madge's marriage to director Guy Ritchie has apparently been on the rocks for some time and now it seems that a divorce is imminent.
Ms Shackleton earned herself a fearsome reputation by working on two of the highest-profile divorces in recent history – Prince Charles and Diana followed by Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Madonna always seeks out the best in whatever field she is interested in at any given time. Fiona Shackleton is the best.
"Apparently Madonna was impressed by Fiona's work for Sir Paul and the way she handles herself in the public eye. She is a consummate professional."
