Nicole Richie is reportedly finding it difficult to adjust to her new role as a mother as she is understood to be pining for her old party lifestyle.
The 26-year-old Simple Life star was notorious on the celebrity party circuit along with her socialite best friend Paris Hilton before she gave birth to Harlow Winter in January and friends claim that she is finding her new domestic life a struggle to come to terms with.
Although Nicole, who is renowned for her bohemian style of headscarves teamed with skinny jeans, said that having Harlow had helped her to move away from her party girl image, there is obviously a part of her that still yearns for her past.
A source close to Nicole told America's Star magazine: "Nicole is torn between being a mommy and being a party girl. She wants to go out and have fun, but when she does, she's like, 'Uh-oh, Harlow needs me.'
"She really misses her carefree life. Before Harlow came along, Nicole never had to worry about anything. All she did was party with her friends and go shopping."
