Andrea Bowen, the actress that plays Teri Hatcher's daughter Julie Mayer in the hit US series Desperate Housewives has confirmed reports that this season will see integral cast members leave.
The 18-year-old star, who plays the long-suffering, sensible daughter of scatty mum Susan, explained that the cast had just finished filming the show's fourth series.
She told OK! magazine: "We had some tearful goodbyes to some of the cast members. You'll just have to keep watching to find out who they are."
Tantalisingly, Andrea would not reveal any more about the plot of the fourth series other than that fans can expect a particularly dramatic closure.
She said: "A lot of very shocking things and changes are happening. I think fans will be very shocked. It could be the best season finale we've ever had."
