Kate and Owen engaged?

Kate Hudson is engaged to marry her on-off boyfriend Owen Wilson, according to reports.

The Fool's Gold star met the Hollywood actor and comedian when they co-starred in the 2006 movie You, Me and Dupree.

Owen and Kate began dating but split in June 2007, two months before Owen's alleged suicide attempt.

Kate has remained a loyal friend to Owen throughout his recovery and now it seems that the pair are ready to seal their renewed commitment to each other.

The 28-year-old beauty, who has a four-year-old son, spent Easter with Owen in Miami and was seen last week wearing a huge diamond engagement ring outside a Boston restaurant.

A source close to the couple told the News of the World: "Kate supported Owen during his low patch and that proved to him she's the woman he wants to be with forever.

"He picked out the ring and went for the biggest one he could find. He was nervous about proposing but Kate was thrilled and the whole thing was really emotional."
