James Morrisson, who has collaborated with both Girls Aloud and the Sugababes, has waded into the chart rivalry between the bands by saying that he prefers the Sugababes.
The singer-songwriter, whose latest single Broken Strings is a collaboration with Nelly Furtado, worked with Girls Aloud for their upcoming ITV Christmas Special and also performed with Sugababe Keisha Buchanan for a TV appearance.
When asked which of the two girl bands he preferred, James said the Sugababes, mainly because he loves dress-wearing Keisha's voice.
"I think it's because she's just a great singer and they've done it on their own without any help," James said.
"But I have a lot of respect for Girls Aloud too, especially as they're still here having come off a reality show and are doing really well."
