Taylor Momsen, who plays Jenny in Gossip Girl, has beat off rumours of diet problems by claiming that she is "naturally thin".
The 15-year-old blonde has set alarm bells ringing in some Hollywood circles with her tiny frame.
However, the star has said that there is no need to worry as she has been blessed with "good genes".
Speaking to Us magazine at this weekend's Diesel jeans party in Brooklyn, she explained: ""I mean, I'm just kind of naturally thin. My mom's really thin, and I'm tall."
Living in New York helps her to stay in shape, she added. "I walk a lot because I live in New York. So I try to walk a lot instead of taking cabs."
Also at the star-studded New York bash to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the jeans brand was British star Emma Watson.
London also hosted a party for the brand which attracted a host of fashionable folk including Paris Hilton, Jamie Winstone and Mark Ronson.
