Lindsay Lohan has criticised her father Michael for taking a swipe at her girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
The 22-year-old admitted earlier this week that she is in a lesbian relationship with the 30-year-old DJ sister of Mark Ronson, a fact that born-again Christian Michael is having trouble coming to terms with.
Michael recently wrote on an online blog about Samantha's supposedly bad hygiene habits, saying that she asks people to use the cardboard roll when her toilet paper runs out.
He also blamed Sam for Lindsay's failure to attend her grandfather's funeral.
Now Lindsay has defended her girlfriend, saying that Michael "obviously needs to be on medication to control his moods".
She wrote on her MySpace page: "He is out of line and his words show how much anger he has, and it's dangerous and scary as it reminds me of how he treated my mother and I my whole childhood.
"He needs to be stopped. This is yet another reason why we aren't speaking."
