Shilpa extends best wishes to Jade
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has offered her warmest wishes to Jade Goody during the difficult time after she learned that she has cancer.
The star said that she and Jade are now friends and she will try her best to support her.
Big Brother contestant Jade learned earlier this week that she has cervical cancer while she was taking part in the Indian version of the reality show.
Jade was at the centre of a racism row 18 months ago when she took part alongside Shilpa in the UK celebrity version of the show, when she was accused of bullying the Indian actress.
However Shilpa has denied that her new-found friendship with Jade is a publicity stunt, explaining that she developed an intense relationship with the 26-year-old in the Big Brother house.
"When you spend time with somebody, whether they're good, bad or ugly, you know the person. And when you know them you wouldn't wish something bad to happen to them," Shilpa told The Mirror.
"I'd wish only the best for her. It is very emotional and I'm really sad."
