'Lifesaver' Kylie receives OBE

Kylie Minogue has been to Buckingham Palace to collect her OBE for her long and successful music career.

The pint-sized singer (40), whose career has spanned three decades and has battled breast cancer, was presented with her award by Prince Charles.

She said: "I was totally blown away to receive this... It makes me feel both humble and proud to be recognised for doing a job that I love so much."

Congrats Kylie!

And it sounds to us like she deserves a medal, because apparently she's a lifesaver as well as an entertainer.

A peace campaigner who goes by the name of The Ninja Ant told London's Southwark Crown Court that he was about to commit suicide when Kylie's hit On a Night Like This came on his MP3 player and he had a change of heart, the Metro reports.

He said: "How can anyone be violent when they love Kylie's music? It's not possible."
