Country music star Shania Twain has split from her music producer husband Robert "Mutt" Lange after 14 years of marriage.
The 42-year-old Man! I Feel Like a Woman! hit-maker married Robert (59) in 1993 just six months after they met and the couple have a six-year-old son Eja D'Angelo together.
Shania's spokesman Jason Owen said in a statement to People magazine: "This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time."
While Robert has not spoken to the press in decades and is rarely photographed, Shania is one of the top-selling female country artists today.
Speaking to the same magazine in 2002 about her husband, Shania revealed: "Our love has always been based on friendship and compatibility," although she added, "we are very different."
Shania is set to move back into the spotlight this year with a new perfume and album.
