She's always been great at keeping people talking, so Paris Hilton sparked rumours that she is engaged recently when she turned up to promote her new hair extension line with Sally Beauty Supply wearing a two-banded diamond ring.
But the heiress's new boyfriend, Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden, has not popped the question just yet.
Looking innocent in a floaty white dress, Paris told People magazine that the ring does signal an imminent marriage, saying: "No, it's just a present. He's sweet."
However the 27-year-old blonde has implied that nuptials may be on the cards at some stage and said recently: "We want to stay together forever. I wouldn't do a Vegas [wedding]. I don't know where or when but I do want it to be romantic."
The former wild child said that seeing her best friend Nicole become a mother with her partner, Benji's brother Joel, has made her more mellow and yearn to have children of her own.
Paris explained: "When I was younger I loved to go out, but now that I'm in a really great relationship it's so much more fun to stay at home."
