With the Sex and the City movie just around the corner, speculation has been mounting about what is going to happen in the lives of Samantha, Charlotte, Miranda, Carrie and of course her Mr Big.
While it has been asserted that one of the main characters is going to die, it has not yet been revealed who.
However female fans of the wickedly charming Mr Big can be assured that they will not be saying goodbye to him.
The Daily Mail quotes the movie's director, Michael Patrick King, as recently announcing: "Kill Mr Big? I would have been chased around the planet by women with torches."
"My ultimate target was to make our audience happy. And I don't think Mr Big dying would make them happy."
And there will be plenty of happiness for women in the fashion department as the show's Emmy-winning costume designer Patricia Field has been drafted in again to deliver the kind of sumptuous outfits that fans have come to expect.
Patricia reveals that over 80 outfits were needed for Sarah Jessica Parker alone in the movie including "accessories, shoes and millions of dollars worth of jewellery" and there were more than 300 costume changes for the four ladies.
Sex and the City, the movie, opens in cinemas nationwide on May 28th.
