Gisele defends women's right to shoes

She is officially the world's wealthiest supermodel and has her own sandal range, so it comes as no surprise that Gisele Bundchen, like all girls, has a particular penchant for buying shoes.

The 27-year-old stunner, who formerly dated Leonardo DiCaprio, defended all women's right to love shoes recently, saying that us girls should not be criticised for our footwear fetish because boys are just as keen on cars.

"You could compare it to what guys are like about cars. Shoes to women are just as exciting and important," Gisele told Contact Music.

"I must have more than 100 pairs. I don't even think that's excessive for a woman."

We would tend to agree with Gisele, who looked stunning at the recent Superheroes Fashion and Fantasy Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York recently, wearing a flowing pale pink satin dress teamed with - of course - a killer pair of heels.
