Leona Lewis has said that she plans to follow the example of Angelina Jolie in the future and adopt a baby from Africa because she has been moved by her visits to the continent.
The Hackney-born singer said that she knows a lot of kids need adopting because of her social worker mum and youth offender officer dad.
And the X Factor winner admits that a recent trip to Africa helped to convince her to take in a less privileged child one day.
"I definitely plan to adopt. When I was in Africa I wanted to take home all the kids. They were so cute," said footwear-loving Leona.
"All of them had been orphaned because of HIV and it was heart-rending. There are so many who need help - you just don't know where to start."
