Madonna's brother Christopher Ciccone has blamed the Kabbalah faith followed by the pop superstar for her divorce.
Christopher, who penned a tell-all book about his sis, said that Madonna is utterly devoted to the religion and used it as a foundation for her marriage to Guy Ritchie.
Speaking to German newspaper Bild, the interior decorator said that Kabbalah played a large role in the marriage.
"It was based on it. And that is not enough on which to base a marriage and it couldn't have survived," he said.
He added that a reconciliation between the accessories queen Madonna and Guy looks unlikely.
"With two such ambitious and headstrong personalities, it would just be too hard," he said.
In July this year, Christopher said that he did not think his sister would divorce Guy, saying that Madge was "not the kind of person just to walk away".
