The US pop star who likes kissing girls, Katy Perry, has admitted that she used to depend on alcohol.
Katy (23) who is dating Gym Class Heroes star Travis McCoy, got her first big musical break with her number one hit single I Kissed a Girl and she wears a sexy dress in the video for the top tune.
But the pretty star has revealed that it was tough waiting for success to happen and said she developed a drinking problem in order to cope.
She told Blender mag: "It was really difficult, drinking became a problem.
"It got out of control until I said, 'OK - back to work.' I know I'm speaking for someone, even if it is someone silly."
The news is likely to cause further anger from Katy's strict Christian evangelist parents, who were less than pleased about the overtly homosexual message of her biggest hit song.
