Geri sticks up for Peaches' marriage

Peaches Geldof has found an unlikely supporter in the shape of former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.

The pop star-turned children's author has spoken out in support of Peaches' decision to marry at 19, saying that she thought it was a good idea to be "crazy" when you're young.

Speaking of accessories-loving Peaches' surprise marriage to Chester French rocker Max Drummey in August, Geri told the Mirror: "If she's happy being married then that's great. It's good to be crazy and make mistakes when you're growing up.

"Then when you're 80 you can look back and laugh. I think Peaches is just working out her way in the world."

Geri also explained that she had known the Geldof girls when she was growing up because she was good friends with their dad Sir Bob.

She added that Sir Bob had done a great job of bringing up his daughters and that he was a great person.
