Gemma: I was born with 12 fingers

Bond girl Gemma Arterton has revealed that she was born with six fingers on each hand.

The 22-year-old stunner, who plays Daniel Craig's love interest Agent Fields in the forthcoming movie Quantum of Solace, had to have an operation when she was a child to have the extra pinkies removed.

Sexy Gemma admits that she still has scars from where the fingers once belonged, but she said that she loved them because they made her unique.

She told Esquire mag: "It's my little oddity that I'm really proud of. It makes me different."

Gems also admitted that she was born with a crumpled ear, which was also surgically corrected.

"I was born with lots of deformities," she said.

Still, these minor setbacks have not stopped her becoming one of Britain's biggest talents.

Gemma, who was raised by a welder father and cleaner mum, had barely graduated from drama school RADA before she won the role of head girl Kelly in the St Trinian's movie.

She is set to achieve global fame after Quantum of Solace is released later this month.
