Stunning British actress Thandie Newton has revealed that her famous sex scene in Guy Ritchie's new gangster flick RocknRolla was the result of Gerard Butler's illness.
It sounds a lot less sexy given the explanation, but the steamy love scene shows Thandie and the hunky Scot getting jiggy without actually kissing at any point.
The 35-year-old beauty says that the reason for the scene was that Gerard was a sniffling bundle of sickness on the day of the shoot, so understandably, Thandie refused to go anywhere near him.
She told Bang Showbiz: "I arrived on set for the sex scene to find Gerry was very unwell indeed. So I wouldn't kiss him.
"Guy had to improvise. I don't know how he coped with those problems but it ended up being one of the most brilliant scenes. But I did find it challenging having to climax in a close-up to camera."
