Mel C preggers!

She was the only one of the Spicers not to pop a sprog, but now 34-year-old Mel C has announced that she is finally preggers, according to reports.

Sporty Spice declared the good news that she and her partner of six years Thomas Starr are expecting their first child together on her website today.

She said: "Well, I can now announce that Tom and I are expecting a baby and we are very happy. As I'm sure you'll understand we needed time to wait for results and tell our families.

"I will need to take some time off to be a mum but, before you know it, we'll be back."

Apparently the other Spice Girls have all passed on their best wishes and have told Mel that they're happy to pass on any parenting tips.

Mel's bundle of joy will bring the total number of Spice Kids to eight.

After the recent world reunion tour, Mel admitted that she loved spending time with all the kids and was starting to feel broody herself.
