Batman star Maggie Gyllenhaal has done all us girls a big favour by telling blokes that it's their duty to give their girlfriends jewellery.
Too right Maggie.
The actress, who is currently starring as Bruce Wayne's love interest in The Dark Knight, is currently dating the actor Peter Sarsgaard, who starred alongside her gorgeous brother Jake in Rendition.
And apparently Peter, who has a daughter with the actress, knows how to please his lady with plenty of bling.
Maggie said: "I think it's the job of your lover to adorn you. My boyfriend gives me jewellery and it always looks great. Think about it - this person adores you. This is how he wants to see you.
"This is what he wants to see on your neck, your hand, your ear. A man sometimes can see what you can't. What is unconsciously beautiful or sexy about you is often the most compelling."
