Peaches 'collapses after suspected overdose'

Paramedics were called to Peaches Geldof's flat on Sunday afternoon to resuscitate the celeb after she fell unconscious following a suspected drug overdose.

The daughter of Boomtown Rats singer and charity fundraiser Sir Bob Geldof was taken ill at her flat in Camden, north London at the weekend.

According to The Sun, the 19-year-old part-time TV presenter stopped breathing for several minutes and could have suffered brain damage if the emergency services had not arrived in time.

She was revived at the flat and apparently refused to go to hospital for fear that her dad would find out - he has previously said that he would go "ballistic" if his daughter ever dabbled with drugs.

A source told the paper: "It was extremely serious. No one could believe this has happened to Sir Bob Geldof's daughter, particularly considering what happened to her mother."
Peaches' mum Paula Yates died at her London home in 2000 from an accidental heroin overdose.

However Peaches managed to turn up for The Dark Knight premiere in London's Leicester Square last night, so here's hoping that she's on the road to recovery.
