Heather Mills has always moaned about how much she hates Britain and how she would be so much happier in the States and now it seems that she is being true to her word as she has been spotted house-hunting in California.
Hoping to spend a little of that £25 million divorce cash that's been burning a hole in her pocket, Heather has been looking at some properties in LA, where she claims the media are not so intrusive.
The 40-year-old former glamour model has said in the past that a move to the US would be impossible because she has to keep her daughter Beatrice close to her father Sir Paul McCartney in Britain, but it seems she has now thrown caution to the wind and decided to take the plunge.
A source tells New York Post gossip column PageSix that Mills is serious about buying property in LA: "She's with Prudential Realty and is giving them a really hard time, because she will only pay $1 million (£500,000) and refuses to budge.
"They've been showing her places for $1.1 million or $1.2 and she'll get mad, telling them, 'I said $1 million and not over.'"
