Paris Hilton's mum is playing Tom Cruise's wife in upcoming film Tropical Thunder.
Kathy Hilton kept her appearance in the Ben Stiller movie a secret from her family, but "raved" about her new co-star when her cameo was finally revealed.
A source told In Touch: "She filmed last winter and didn't even tell her kids because she wanted to surprise them.
"She raved about Tom, saying he was so warm and friendly and made her very comfortable."
The 49-year-old is not a stranger to the camera – she's starred in an episode of US soap The Young and the Restless.
Meanwhile, eldest daughter Paris has declared she's no dumb blonde.
"I have a good sense of humour and I'm always making my friends laugh," she said.
"In The Simple Life, I played a dumb blonde, but it's not really me. I wish I was more confrontational but I can never challenge someone, even if I'm really upset."
