So it's always a tad nerve-racking for fellas when they're trying to impress a girl on a date, but when the girl's the gorgeous Kate Hudson then it must be extra scary.
Needless to say, we can't help but feel sorry for Kate's new bloke Lance Armstrong who recently tried to plan a dinner with added wow factor by taking her to exclusive New York restaurant Rao's.
And when we say exclusive, we mean exclusive as the posh eaterie has just ten privately-owned tables.
Since cycling champ Lance had failed to prepare and book ahead, he was left standing outside in the cold with the 29-year-old stunner, the Metro reports.
Red-faced Lance could do nothing but scream out that old celeb favourite: "Don't you know who I am?"
Oh the shame Lance.
