Little Britain star Matt Lucas is seeking the comfort of friends and family after the breakdown of his marriage.
The gay comic split from partner Kevin McGee after they were joined in a civil ceremony only two-and-a-half years ago.
But Lucas could have more worries on his mind if his former partner wants a slice of his fortune.
It is unknown whether the pair signed a pre-civil partnership agreement, but a divorce could be costly for the bald star if his ex is entitled to some of his fortune.
According to reports from Hello Magazine he has hired the same firm of solicitors used by Heather Mills in her recent divorce from Sir Paul McCartney.
But friends of the funnyman believe that an out-of-court deal may be reached.
"Matt is really concerned because it doesn't do much for the image of gay civil partnerships. But he thinks that you can't live in a loveless marriage, and if it's over, then it's over," one unnamed pal said.
The couple were said to have "fallen out of love" as the comic spent more time in the US.
A joint statement released at the time of separation said the split had been "amicable".
