Teen star Miley Cyrus has publicly defended troubled celebrities Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, claiming that their behaviour is normal.
Both Britney and Lindsay have endured stints in rehab as a result of their wild lifestyles and Hannah Montana star Miley says that she relates to the way that they are "struggling".
Miley (15), who is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, courted controversy recently when she posed for revealing photographs for a Vanity Fair magazine shoot.
She said: "Everyone has their time. And I think most 21 to 25-year-olds go through this kind of thing. Basically, they're being normal 21-year-olds, especially Lindsay. I mean, most of that's pretty normal. If you went to most high schools, I could point out Britneys and Lindsays.
"I guess that's why I'm so adamant about the Britneys and Lindsays and whatever, because I know those people and I know they have good hearts and they're just struggling."
