She may have a set of lips that many women would kill for, but Keira Knightley has said that she hates her trademark pout because it impedes her acting abilities.
The 23-year-old British actress is known for characteristic facial expression on screen and Keira says that the pout prevents her from conveying a wide variety of emotions.
Keira has acted form a young age but she really grabbed the public's attention with her performance in the 2002 film Bend it Like Beckham, when the actress was just 17 years old.
Because she was nervous about acting at such a young age, Keira said that the pout came automatically and that after that it stuck.
She explained: "When I'm nervous my neck gets really, really tense and then that pressure sort of squeezes up to my lips and they push out and well, there you go, that's the pout."
The Atonement star added that she is trying to push herself as an actress saying: "I've always been looking to be stretched - it doesn't always mean I'm going to be good, but I'm trying to be a good actress, I really am."
