Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz married on Saturday evening in a romantic sunset ceremony at the home of the bride's parents.
The couple's spokesperson told People magazine: "We're delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends."
Joe Simpson, Ashlee's dad, officiated over the non-denominational ceremony under white tents at the family home in California, while the bride's big sister Jessica, accompanied by her footballer boyfriend Tony Romo, was the maid of honour.
According to reports, the Fall Out Boy bassist's pet bulldog Hemingway served as the ring-bearer, while the guests included Pete's band mates as well as Nicole Richie and partner Joel Madden.
Sources claim that Ashlee is pregnant, but her bump certainly didn't show through the elegant ivory Monique Lhuillier dress she wore, accompanied by Vera Wang-clad bridesmaids.
It is the first marriage for both Pete and Ashlee.
